  1. 1.  Catherine ZENTMEYER was born 1801, Botetourt or Montgomery, Virginia.

    Notes:

According to a letter written by John William Zentmeyer to Rev. William DeShazo, Catharine and Burke Priddy moved to Ohio. In The History of Kansas City, Missouri, it is written that soon after 1832 they moved from Virgina to Warren County, Ohio. And that Burke owned a plantation and a number of slaves in Virginia, but became a teacher in Ohio. The 1840 Census has Burke Priddy in Union, Warren Ohio.

Several original sources claim Johannes and Barbary moved from Cave Spring to Montgomery County near present-day Floyd in 1800, however a poem written by Catherine's brother David claims the move was after 1802.

Catherine married Burke PRIDDY 08 Jan 1822, Montgomery, Virginia. Burke was born 1796, Meadsville, Halifax Co., Virginia; died 1876, Henderson, Chester Co., Tennessee. [Group Sheet]
