  Notes	Josie May Robison, daughter of Matilda Amelia and Howard Sheridan Robison, was born March 11, 1896, on the family farm north of Scandia and died 26 Apr 1984. She received her education at Pleasant Valley rural school and Scandia High School. She taught school one year at Lone Tree District 117. In 1939 she moved with the family to Scandia. In 1941 she was appointed city clerk and served in that capacity for 26 years until retirement in 1968. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Scandia Chapter 481 Order of Eastern Star. She was a Brownie Scout leader from 1949 until 1971 and served on the Library and Museum boards for several years. She was an initial member of the Scandia Development Commission. Because of ill health she resided the last five years in health care centers and was a resident of the Heartland Center in Belleville since 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents; two half-sisters: Amy Garber and Katie Garber Isaacson; a sister: Sadie Robison; three brothers: Sherman, Edward, and Robert Robison. She is survived by two sisters: Adah and Edna Robison of the home; nieces and nephews. THE BELLEVILLE TELESCOPE, Thursday, May 3,1984
