Christopher's Farm, Cumberland Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania
Christopher purchased and farmed this land, about 260 acres in present-day Arendtsville, Franklin Twp., Adams Co. for approximately a decade between 1779 and 1789. He and Jacob Arendt donated the parcel at the lower left in 1781 to the Lutheran and Reformed Churches for the purpose of a church, school, and cemetery. The farm was acquired by Jacob Arendt, founder of Arendtsville, at a Sheriff's Sale (foreclosure) in 1789.

Congressional Medal of Honor - Front Side
Although this medal was awarded on December 31, 1864, it never found its way to Henry Brutsché. In 1957, the U.S. Navy's Bureau of Personnel deemed it an unclaimed medal and transferred it to the Curator Branch of Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC).

Cradle marked 'Jacob Zentmyer, Agent'
I found this hand-made doll's cradle, stamped 'Jacob Zentmyer, Agent, Naperville Ills' on eBay, likely a promotional give-away item during Jacob's time as an agent for Bloomer's Home Products.

"After losing an arm in a corn shredder accident in 1899 Jacob became an agent for Bloomer's Home Products - medicines, spices, and extracts. Driving a horse and special wagon, he had a regular route through the countryside and visited regular customers with Bloomer products." -Naperville Sun, 20 Oct 1982
