• Documents Lottenberg Quarry Disputes in 1797-1802 This file documents the disputes between brothers Samuel and Rudolf Lehman and the town of Muhen over the rights to quarry stone from the Lottenberg Quarry. The file ends about 1802 when it is presumed the Lehmans moved to Aarau.
Lottenberg Quarry We visited Muhen in 2018 with Sabine Scheichert and all indications are this was the site of the Lottenberg Quarry. There are deep cuts into the existing topography, with multiple stepped benches typical for a quarry operation.
